I really enjoyed the spacious suite with windows and balconies overlooking the beautiful historical square. The breakfast offered an impressive range of pastries that I looked forward to each morning. The hotel is right in the city center, making it super easy to walk everywhere and explore. However, the breakfast room felt cramped, and it would have been nice if it stayed open longer during the week. The Deluxe King Room was pleasant overall, but the bed was too small, which made it uncomfortable for my husband. Additionally, there was a strange sewage smell outside that seeped into the room, detracting from our stay. Even with these issues, we appreciated the secure underground parking and the drink offered on the rooftop terrace in the evenings. It made for a nice way to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

I had a delightful stay at Grand Hotel San Lorenzo. The staff were exceptionally friendly, always ready to assist with my needs and recommendations. The breakfast offered a great variety, including delicious pastries, and the location couldn't be better, right in the heart of Mantova.
Traffic access was slightly complicated.

Charging €25 for gym access is absurd!!! Cheap IKEA furniture makes it feel less than four stars. Paper-thin walls leave little privacy!!! Improve soundproofing to avoid disruptions from adjacent rooms!!!
